Getting To The Resort

Direct flights into Phuket (HKT) are rare from overseas (especially outside of Asia), so booking a connecting flight through Bangkok (BKK) may be the most viable option. A flight from Bangkok to Phuket is about 1 hour 30 mins.

The resort is a 10 minute taxi ride from Phuket International Airport. We’d encourage using a ride hailing app like Grab (Android/iOS) so that prices are known upfront.

Duration

The duration of your stay is dependent on the travel itinerary you have in mind. We’d recommend planning a 3-5 day stay in Phuket and another 5-10 days around neighbouring destinations (within Thailand or South East Asia) to make the most out of your journey.

Nearby Destinations to Visit

Phuket

Phuket, a rainforested, mountainous island in the Andaman Sea, has some of Thailand’s most popular beaches, mainly situated along the clear waters of the western shore. The island is home to many high-end seaside resorts, spas and restaurants. Phuket City, the capital, has old shophouses and busy markets. Patong, the main resort town, has many nightclubs, bars and discos.

Places to consider visiting:

Bangkok

Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, is a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds its network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to opulent Grand Palace and its sacred Wat Phra Kaew Temple. Nearby is Wat Pho Temple with an enormous reclining Buddha and, on the opposite shore, Wat Arun Temple with its steep steps and Khmer-style spire.

Try to stay at a place with access to one of the BTS (skytrain) or MRT (subway) stations as Bangkok traffic is notorious for being immensely heavy even at off-peak times of the day. An Airport Rail Link interconnects the Suvarnabhumi Airport with several BTS and MRT stations, making the journey more affordable (฿45 THB) and quicker (30 mins) than a taxi ride to the city center.

Places to consider visiting:

Singapore

Singapore is a sovereign island country and city-state in maritime Southeast Asia. Kicked out of the federation of Malaysia in 1965, Singapore is one of the only countries in history that reluctantly declared independence and go on to rocket itself from a developing to developed nation within a single generation. Nicknamed the “Little Red Dot”, Singapore has made cemented itself as an economic and financial powerhouse despite covering only 730 km2 of land, more than 4x smaller than Pyongyang, North Korea.

A hotel or Airbnb with access to the MRT would give you the best and affordable mobility around the city – a ride from the airport to the city central (such as City Hall station) is around $1.90 SGD. The southern tip will be ideal as it is close in proximity to the key landmarks in Singapore, alternatively a location close to the Eastern stations along the green East-West line would also work as it is in between the city center and the airport.
